Benjamin is a solitary and mostly boring former CPA. He now consults with an unnamed company.

History

A native New Yorker, Benjamin is recently divorced from his wife of fifteen years, Eileen. The relationship suddenly turned ugly within the span of a year. The downward spiral is almost inexplicable, but perhaps inevitable as both husband and wife were CPA's. However, Eileen began nagging and sparking arguments about Ben's dull nature. Fights that started small soon grew. When Eileen finally accused Ben of being so dull he put her to sleep, well that surely was just exaggerating.

Since Eileen walked out of his life, Benjamin wants little to do with life outside of work. Of course his dear mother keeps telling him that Eileen was a stuck up bitch anyway and he could do better. Somehow, that's little consolation. Geee, why is that?

Abilities

Narcokinesis is the ability to manipulate sleep patterns. From a simple drowsiness, to a full out coma. On the harmful side, inflict severe insomnia to the point of brain damage/shutdown. Thanks to the Company and their training, he's getting better at his ability.

• Getting Sleepy - Just as it says. The target feels extremely drowsy which interferes with productivity and concentration. No caffeine does not help. This requires a stamina roll of the target vs the stunt roll.

• Omg Can't Sleep - In a nutshell insomnia with a capital 'I'. Subject is unable to get any kind of sleep for at least a night to several days. Can we say damage to brain function? I knew you could. This requires a stamina roll of the target vs the stunt roll.

The duration of insomnia will depend upon the target's stamina roll.

• Veg Out - The subject will fall into a full fledged clinical coma complete with the reduction in brain functioning. No awakening no normal responses to pain and light along with the complications and health issues of being in a comatose state based on duration.

** This is a special occasion type attack and one of the last things Benji will learn how to do. It's not something he will use willy nilly only under force or extreme duress. **

The duration will be up to player consent as again special occasion attack and to be used under special plot circumstances.

• Late 80's - Shows that he can loosen up while in college. Alcohol helps!
• 1991 - Marries Eileen
• 2006 - Their marriage crumbles and they divorce. Late in the year, he has an encounter with a young girl named Evie, which results in him checking in with a therapist.
• January 31st, 2007 - He finds out he has an illegitimate daughter named Rose.
• February 6th, 2007 - Procures a copy of 'Activating Evolution.'
• February 7th, 2007 - Meets Ramon, offers to assist with his taxes.
• February 9th, 2007 - Is involved in a bus crash that he unknowingly caused by causing the driver to fall asleep. Later in the day, he is visited by Angie. She tells him about what he unwittingly did and tagged him against his knowledge.
• February 10th, 2007 - Things just get better. Not. His therapist shows up and explains matters better than Angie did. That evening, he and Rose open the results of the paternity test. It's a positive! They also reveal their abilities to each other.
• February 11th, 2007 - Ben is forcibly taken into Company custody by Anders and Angie.
• February 13th, 2007 - The Primatech facility is set ablaze as a 'patient' escapes. Ben and Niki assist with evacuating other patients in their wing.
• February 14th, 2007 - Puts two guards to sleep so he and Niki can swipe their cellphones to call their families.
• February 17th, 2007 - While in session with Dr. Aldric, Cass pays her father a surprise visit. Surprise too for Benji, as she sold him a copy of 'Activating Evolution'.
• February 18th, 2007 - Runs into Jenny at the hospital, surprised since their last encounter was in the park with squirrels.
• February 19th, 2007 - Is told he's free to go by Elle, so he returns home where he lays low for a few days.
• February 26th, 2007 - Ramon stops by to check on Benji, abilities and the 'hospital' are discussed.
• February 28th, 2007 - With reluctance, attempts to help with a jumper in his neighborhood.
• March 2nd, 2007 - Runs into Anders at a pub and puts him out for a nap. / On the way to eat with Rose, they cross paths with Sylar. Ben manages to put Sylar to sleep, not knowing who/what he is other than a creep with a sword. / Later, Elena comes by and he opens up to her. After Elena leaves, he finds that Elle has snuck into his apartment and 'accosts' him.
• March 3rd, 2007 - Is cornered in his office by Xander in regards to his kidnapping debacle.
• March 4th, 2007 - Encounters Angie by accident in his apartment building, and finds out that Anders has taken a neighboring unit.
• March 5th, 2007 - Comes out of his shell a little with an impromptu jam session with Jane.
• March 8th, 2007 - Angie shows up at his apartment, and comes onto him. The pair fall asleep on his couch watching the Matrix. Rose finds them the next morning.
• March 13th, 2007 - Finally goes on a date with Angie.
• March 17th, 2007 - Lachlan sits on Benji's mother. This was a mistake.
• March 19th, 2007 - Cass corners him about his time in Company care.
• March 25th, 2007 - Receives a phone call from Peter Petrelli in regards to information on Rainer.
• March 31st, 2007 - Finally meets Peter face to face at Enlightenment Books. Benji volunteers his assistance in the fight against Sylar.
• April 11th, 2007 - Goes drinking after getting a sort of 'Dear John' letter from Angie. Winds up singing in the bar with Gwen.
• May 14th, 2007 - Meets Megan, who turns out to be Lachlan's little sister.
• May 15th, 2007 - Meets Mara outside his apartment while Jane sings and impresses people.
• May 20th, 2007 - Runs into Mara again, this time, at their mutually shared therapist! Mara comes onto him, color Benji shocked.
• May 29th, 2007 - Visits Cass at the hospital, winds up asking Lachlan about getting Megan's number.
• June 4th, 2007 - Meets Felicity. A little later.. the ex-wife shows up.
• June 12th, 2007 - Ramon calls to ask a favor of Benji, who complies.

• July 10th, 2007 - Max is a bad influence. The pair work on the new prisoner, Andrea, then go for cheesecake and talk. Later in the day.. Ben is sent back to Kirby Plaza to meet his new partner. (Can you say nightmare?)
• July 12th, 2007 - Has a date with Megan, which ends on a bad note for both parties.
• July 13th, 2007 - Wakes up in Primatech's hospital, where his partner and his pet are waiting. Later, Megan hates him. :(
• July 15th, 2007 - On his way to work, Ben encounters Niki and makes her more paranoid. Doug torments Megan and makes Benji tag her.
