Kellie is something of a mystery. She had been a captive of the Company, held in the Level 5 cells, until a lapse in security protocol allowed her escape several months ago. Hell-bent on revenge against the man who headed the K-11E project, the designation given to her case, Kellie staged an attack on Rainer Madson in Central Park. The attempt went awry, with Company agents disabling her and bringing her back to captivity.
Luckily for Kellie, a combination of her acting skills and Hiro's infallible herosim led to a second escape. She stayed with Hiro for several weeks, using him and his friends to provide her with food and shelter while she devised a plan.
Serendipity decided not to wait. In an alley late at night, Kellie came across a wounded, powerless Sylar. She helped him home under the guise of being a naive young girl — only to flip a switch the very second she had him alone in closed quarters. Helpless, he could do little but accept her proposition to work together, him for a cure and her for a vendetta.
Together, Sylar and Kellie carried out a damaging plan against the Company, blackmailing Mohinder into helping them both achieve their goals. At the last second, however, as Mohinder administered the cure for the Shanti virus to Sylar, Kellie took their captive, Molly Walker, and fled.
Survival instinct. And, you know, maybe a bit of compassion for an innocent child. Molly was left at a hospital, and Kellie disappeared. She hasn't been seen for months.
