History
Sharon Hawker was born and raised in Denver, Colorado to Rebecca and Charles Hawker. She was born on October 23rd, 1978, and was generally a healthy, normal baby. She was in fact rather quiet for a child, and her mother always said that of her four siblings (two sisters, two brothers), Sharon was the easiest to handle as a baby. Growing up, Sharon found herself attracted to some of the traditional hobbies in the Mountain State. She learned early on how to climb rocks and, eventually, mountains, as there was always an abundance of opportunities to learn. Sharon was the family athlete, finding herself drawn to sports and athletic endeavors.
Sharon was a very energetic child and was always trying to get the neighborhood children involved in whatever crazy game or scheme that popped into her head as an elementary school child. She had a mischievous streak to her and was known for pranking the neighborhood kids and neighbors with various pulley and lever contraptions that launched squishy, messy projectiles like eggs, jello, or whatever else they could find at them. It wasn’t because she was mean, but because pies and eggs on a person’s face was hilarious! As a result, she spent a good bit of time in her room as her parents tried to find a way to instill discipline in their energetic, kind, but mischievous child.
Taking away her toys didn’t seem to work, as Sharon just started reading or plotting her next scheme. Her father read that martial arts were supposed to instill discipline in a child, so he enrolled her in an Inayan Eskrima class, a Filipino martial art that focuses on stick and sword fighting, but the movements are also just as useful unarmed. She was taught the Kedena de Mano style as a child, which is a hand to hand style that could be used as a form of knife fighting as well, as that made the most sense to her father. At first, Sharon absolutely hated it, because she wasn’t that good at it, so her father told her that he would take it as well and, when she was good enough to knock him down, she could stop. This motivated her to work harder at it, instilling that discipline her family had strove for, but she also grew to enjoy it and continued lessons.
It was in middle school that she started to notice that she didn’t need to sleep as much as other kids did. It wasn’t anything weird, and she had always been energetic, so she didn’t think much of it. She just slept 5-6 hours a night and was perfectly fine, with your occasional crashes for 10 hours on a Saturday or Sunday. She continued on with her mountain climbing and martial arts training, and added running to her list of athletic activities in middle school. She loved track, and really loved endurance running, though her father wouldn’t let her run any marathons as a middle school student, saying the training was something she’d have to work up to.
In high school, this trend continued, though Sharon had become one of those kids who was active in just about every activity in the school. Her high school competitive sports were running in the fall and spring while playing basketball in the winter. The Eskrima and mountain climbing continued. By now she’d gotten good enough to solo climb some mountains and regularly took summer trips with other mountaineers on various treks. She’d picked up Inayan Siniwalis (two stick) and Inayan Larga mano (long sword) forms of Eskrima by the end of her high school days.
Sharon always figured it was a mixture of genetics and her athletic training, but she didn’t sleep a lot, only sleeping three to four hours at night at most, with the occasional all-nighter that left her a bit drowsy the next day. Academically, she started to find herself drawn, unsurprisingly, to the human body and how it worked. She decided she wanted to go to college for athletic training. She wasn’t stupid when it came to science, but it wasn’t her strongest point, either, and felt a more practical approach would be best for her. So, she enrolled at the University of Colorado: Denver to pursue that degree.
In college, she quickly moved into the dorm life, her family deciding it would be good for her to live on her own, and started settling in. She ran track and field at the school, concentrating primarily on running, though she did try her hand for a couple years at the javelin and was competitive, though she wasn’t her best at that sport. She studied biology and athletic training, having decided to double-major while she was at school. Because of this and her own sports training, she started pulling more and more all-nighters. Her roomies started commenting that the woman seemed like she never slept, though Sharon assured them she found time to get enough sleep.
Yet when she was twenty years old, that started to change. She had been pulling some all-nighters for a major test, and it wasn’t until the third or fourth night (she forgets which, as the days tended to blur together) that she realized she still wasn’t tired. It took her a week of staying up until she finally crashed and slept for about six hours, and then she was fine. She started reading more on the subject of sleep deprivation and discovered that she didn’t just have insomnia, as she was fresh as a daisy, never rundown, or showed any signs of fatigue. She kept this quiet, unsure exactly what to do with this information, but she did start testing her own blood to see what she could find, using the fact that she didn’t need to sleep to pull overtime on her studies of the area.
In the time since then, Sharon has graduated and moved to New York. She’s determined that she has somehow evolved, some snippet of DNA that tells her body that it doesn’t need to sleep. Now, it’s rare that she has to sleep if she hasn’t been overexerting herself, and instead uses this time to learn and to train, continuing the passions of her youth. She has another 8 hours a day to spend doing what she wants. That’s 2920 hours in a year, or another 121.67 days that she has every year to make herself better than others in whatever she desires.
In New York, she’s become a personal trainer at a gym called the Power House Gym by day to make the money she needs to live and to do research as best as she can. She’s also theorized that there may be others that have had such things occur to them and has read Activating Evolution, though she has yet to speak with the author (as he has since become deceased) or anyone else involved with that book. She’s also added Inayan Serrada, another of the Eskrima forms, to her list that she’s been training in.

Power Information
Sharon's Power is called Infatigable. Sharon does not get tired or need to sleep. The power isn't flashy or obvious, but it is useful for getting things done in the world when you have an extra 8 hours in a day. Strong drugs, appropriate powers, etc… can potentially knock her out and put her to sleep, but general sleeping pills won't do a thing to her.
Her muscles simply do not get tired enough to require her to rest for more than a few seconds after exercise or being up for a long time, continuing to function as normal. As sleep normally recuperates the body, her muscles have evolved to continuously produce the required cortisol and other benefits needed to avoid the negative physical and mental effects of sleep deprivation, including natural wound healing, growth, memory, etc…
Her power also allows her to push the limits of human endurance, pushing herself as hard as possible for an extended period of time while most people can only go all-out for a shorter period of time. She cannot exceed the bounds of human capacity while doing this, but with enough intelligent training, be it physical or mental, she may be able to push those bounds further, though supernatural feats are going to stay well within the realm of the supernatural. She may never lift a ten thousand pound vehicle over her head, but if she so chose to, she might be able to spend enough time to train to a point of redefining how strong, fast, skilled, or educated a human can naturally be.
- Athlete's Push: This power allows Sharon to push at her maximum capacity for a longer time than normal as her muscles continue to work at the maximum capacity possible. This can allow her to continue to hold something up long enough for everyone to get away provided she can lift it in the first place run at a 100 meter dash speed for an extended period of time or other athletic feats. Difficulty: Good raw strength or Great speed/dexterity.
- No Sleep: Sharon rarely if ever needs to sleep. This is the entire basis of her power that she doesn't need to sleep for weeks or months on end. If something is trying to force her to sleep with some sort of power or toxin she can contest it with this roll to shake off the need to sleep or be knocked out. Difficulty is variable with Sharon needing to meet or exceed the level of the attack on an Infatigable roll.
- PNF Defense: PNF Defense is the act of Sharon being able to improve her muscle's contraction and relaxation time, IE her neuromuscular facilitation, while advancing the rate of gluconeogenesis to provide fuel to her brain due to her infatigable endurance advancing her body's capabilities. The result is that her body is able to react more quickly and increases it's natural flexibility and ability to dodge and attack. Sharon needs to roll AVERAGE or better on this stunt. If she succeeds, she will gain a +1 bonus to any DEXTERITY defenses for the rest of the scene. In addition, her flexibility becomes superior and she becomes harder to hold onto. She also gains a +1 bonus to any rolls involving flexibility or escaping from grapples and from being bound in any manner (often to be ATHLETICS or STRENGTH, depending on the situation). This specifically does not work for martial arts attacks or in any offensive capability.
Astrological Profile
Libra is the seventh sign of the zodiac; Scorpio is the eighth. After Libra's intellectual exploration of other people, Scorpio's interest is in discovering other people's emotions and how they respond to the world around them. Scorpio is the sign of sex and death, the beginning and ending, and they explore these ideas from an emotional standpoint. Libra/Scorpios strive to create balance and harmony between self and other through investigation and probing. They are often strongly intuitive and penetrating. They have a need to be liked.
The astrological symbol of Libra is the Scales. Like the scales of justice, Librans are objective and just. They abhor unfairness and conflict, striving above all for peace; but at times they are easily deterred from their beliefs. Librans are able to see all sides of an argument, but as their mental scales sway back and forth, they may never find balance. The astrological symbol of Scorpio is the Scorpion. Like the mythical scorpion, those born under this sign tend to be strong-willed and wary of being controlled by others. In keeping with Libra's cardinal quality, Libra/Scorpios are diplomatic and cooperative; they are skilled at initiating group projects. They can be stubborn, refusing to give up when others have long since become bored and abandoned a project. Libra/Scorpios get things done when no one else thought it possible. In this way, the fixed quality of Scorpio is expressed. When Libra/Scorpios set goals for themselves, they are determined to succeed. They have their own agenda and work to achieve their desires.
Libra is ruled by the planet Venus. In ancient Roman mythology, Venus (and her Greek equivalent, Aphrodite) was the goddess of love, beauty and pleasure. She represented joy, happiness and appreciation of beautiful things. Scorpio is ruled by the planets Mars and Pluto. In ancient Roman mythology, Mars (and his Greek equivalent, Ares) was the god of war, and ancient astrologers assigned both Aries and Scorpio to this planet. Pluto (and his Greek equivalent, Hades) was the god of the underworld, and when the planet Pluto was discovered early in the 20th century, astrologers assigned Scorpio to it.
Libra/Scorpios are seductive and attractive, commanding and intense. Cultural awareness and a talkative nature help them shine in the social situations they so enjoy. The element associated with Libra is Air. The element associated with Scorpio is Water. Libra/Scorpios are skilled at communication and abstract reasoning, and their intelligence combines with their interest in others to become an intellectual exploration of those around them. They may repress their emotions, but underneath they are lusty and perceptive. Libra/Scorpios are motivated and loyal, but they are often misunderstood and may be seen as dictatorial or sarcastic. If they have an ulterior motive, they can be overbearing, but in a subtle, sly or manipulative way.
Libra/Scorpios are both mystical and scientific, a combination that makes them very aware of what is happening around them; they are a sign of great depth. If they aren't careful, though, their passionate nature may lead them into self-indulgence or compulsion. In their leisure time, Libra/Scorpios tend to have a definite lazy streak. However, this is barely perceptible because they also enjoy difficult pursuits that challenge them to excel, and they refuse to settle for being anything less than the best. They may have a particular affinity for activities that let them get out in nature.
In love relationships, Libra is playful, romantic and devoted. The great strength of the Libra/Scorpio-born is in their drive for peace and harmony and their determination to see things through to the end. Their skill at seeing all sides of a situation with great passion and strength makes them one of the most powerful characters of the zodiac.

- Kory - Girl at the geek store. Sharon's college buddy told her she should check out some anime, so she went in and purchased some out of curiosity. She also discovered that internet rumors of male geeks are sadly true. Sharon also helped her down the fire escape when Kory mess up her leg evacuating people from the building. Also? Dreamwalker.

- Benjamin - Sharon doesn't actually know who this is, but he put her to sleep. If she finds out it was him…pain. Much pain. But he seemed like a decent enough fellow who was polite enough to retrieve her wandering T-Rex toy. Will return to the Do Not Like list if she finds out he put her to sleep.
- Niki - Sharon knows the strongwoman and likes her well-enough. They fought Mandy together in a Walgreens.
- Brian - A fellow she ran into who needed help parallel parking his car.
- Mandy - No, we don't like the acid-generating lady one little bit. One steel-toed boot, coming up!
- Persi - Anybody who purposefully trips athletes out for a training run, regardless of their attempts at justification, lands on Sharon's bad list.
- Elle - Not so much an enemy, but Sharon saw the woman whipping off nasty lightning. Sharon isn't sure if this person will fry her at random or what. got inadvertently blasted with the blowback of Elle's lightning. Wary, for now.
- Sylar - No like the serial killer. Particularly not after what was explained to her after the chaos of October 1st. She's glad he's locked up somewhere.
