"And Then She Disappeared"

A Boutique

It's the afternoon, perfect time to be shopping though and that's exactly what Kitty is doing, she is currently holding up a dark red dress, strapless that comes out and would trail behind you when worn. Her eyes light up at the dress and she is going to begin to make her way over to the fitting rooms, inside of this dress shop she likes to come too.

"Hmm, this is a nice one." She says to herself and looks at it again in the mirror. Her phone alerts her to a text message and she takes the time to type out a response before heading over to a sales rep.

There are always a few people shopping in a store of this nature. Some with more money than others, but the ones who don't look like they can afford the clothes are usually shooed out rather quickly. There's one young woman who stands close to the front, bending over and looking at the jewelry rack under the glass counter. Gillian's dressed nicely, in a black dress with heels and a silver belt-like accent that tightens at her waist. The main oddity of the moment is the lack of a handbag, or purse. Maybe she's just eyeing the merchandise right now, instead of actually buying.

The sales clerk stands closer, watching for any kind of help she can give, before she spots Kitty's approach and speaks up, "Can I help you, Ms. Hanner?" Oh dear. Recognized. Happens when you're rich.

"Yes, can you put that in the dressing room for me? I was just about to go and look over at the jewelry." She says and hands the dress off with a smile and thanks before she moves over to where Gillian is standing. "Nice shoes." She says softly and looks up at Gillian with a grin.

"I have got to get a pair." She chuckles softly and holds her hand out for Gillian. "I'm Kitty." She says with a soft smile, "Never really seen you in here before." She comments and tilts her head.

"Of course," the sales clerk says, moving away with the nice red dress as she goes to drop it off in one of the dressing room, leaving the two young woman alone with the jewelry. There's thick security glass between them and the jewels, so it's not like it'll be easy to run off with it! Or will it?

"I love these shoes, thanks," Gillian glances over at the offered hand for a moment, looking hesitant before she touches the glass, leaving a mild smear behind as she reaches to take the hand. "Gillian," she says, as their hands connect.

There's something very odd. A sudden sensation of needle pricks up the arm of the psychometer, like she'd been sleeping on her arm all night. A flash of a desk in a library, a sketchbook held in hand. A small hand flexes a few times, as if trying to regain feeling. The sketch on the pad looks like something out of a movie. A scrubland, with a rabbit. It's not complete, there's the beginnings of a sketch of someone's body standing near the rabbit, but not enough is filled in to make out more than that it's going to be a person.

When the hand is taken and the vision received. Kitty's eyes turn the milk white color they do now. Her head tilts and she stares without seeing at Gillian. "A sketch.. rabbit and.. person.." Kitty says softly as she views the vision. Her head shakes and she gapes, what the heck is this? The young woman's eyes lower and her head hangs down.

"What did you say?" Gillian suddenly snaps, looking startled as her hand suddenly pulls away, pulled close against her body. A step back seems too far at first, like she should be walking right into the counter, but it doesn't budge, so she must have missed it. "What he hell just happened to you're…" Eyes. Face. She moves again, backing into the aisle and towards the clothes racks, waving a hand at the crazy woman. "Are you wacko or something?"

"I'm sorry, what are you talking about?" Kitty says and looks at Gillian with mock confusion. She blinks and looks around and walks closer to Gillian. "What's with the rabbit?" she asks with an raised eyebrow, no idea if the vision was past or future but she is going to take a gamble.

Heels click on the floor of the store and she looks Gillian up and down.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Gillian says defensively, moving toward around the clothing racks and putting some distance between them, and objects as well. "I need to go, have fun getting your dress." And then she's moving toward the front doors, really fast for those heels she's wearing, too. They're very quiet for heels. Not even the slightest click on the floor.

"Wait!" Kitty says loudly and throws her hand out, as if she can use TK to bring Gillian back. Nope, that's not it. So Kitty runs after Gillian, her heels making very loud noises but she doesn't stumble or fall, but she isn't as fast as Gillian. Kit follows after the direction Gillian went. Hair flying in her face as she pursues. "Just a second!" she calls back in the store as she exits in a rush after the woman.

No, no waiting. There's always clothes racks in a store, and doors. It's too cold for the front doors to stay open, so suddenly the young woman being chased veers around a rack and disappears out of sight.

Quite literally. One moment she'd been moving at full speed to duck behind a rack of long dresses, the next moment when Kitty catches up… there's no sign of the young woman who'd ran away at all. Not even her shoes.

As the woman comes to a halt where Gillian should be her eyebrows raise and her mouth hangs open. "Well I'll be damned.." she says softly and puts a hand on her hip. "That little sneak.." she says and shakes her head, she gives a look behind her shoulder before she presses a hand to her hair and looks around, hmm damn. She thinks to herself.
