Christopher Moss was born an entertainer. After being introduced to the street dancing lifestyle, he's taken it upon himself to form his own crew, TKO, to lead them in a constant war for money, respect and territory against the other dance crews of the city. Beyond that, he's just your average teenager that's trying to step up his dancing before he gets served for stomping the yard while trying to figure out how she moves. Word.
History
Christopher Moss and Nia Jones were high school sweethearts. So it only made sense for them to break up on the night of the Senior Prom. Popularity got the best of Christopher and Nia wanted to actually focus on her career. It was a mutual break up that separated the two for ten years. The 10 year class reunion allowed them to rekindle that old flame. Two years later they were engaged. A year after that they were married. And a year after that, on July 25, 1990 little Chris Moss was born.
Nia kept herself in shape, having started her own personal training business. She worked at the gym and was all about health and fitness. Christopher was more of a businessman. Though, he always found time for his family. Both of them took time off from their busy schedules after Chris was born and this was a tradition that blossomed into an annual family vacation. Even within the borough of Brooklyn where they lived, they managed to have a happy and, mostly safe, existence. It sort of helped that Christopher's brother was a detective on the force. He kind of kept the neighborhood clean.
Li'l Chris was something of an entertainer from the youngest of ages. He would put on little concerts with his My First Microphone for family members and friends. It was all about singing and dancing for the little dude. His parents made sure he did well in school, but he put most of his focus into the talent shows. By age eight, his mother had set up a special account for him to assist him in his endeavors. He managed to maintain around a high B average and so long as he never fell below that, he would be allowed to continue chasing his dream.
Junior High is when Chris really started to come into his own. This was both good and bad, if you really want to know the truth. The arguments with his father became more frequent. Christopher never truly supported Li'l Chris's dream. He was more of a solid and grounded individual. He would've liked Junior to just go to school and get a solid job. Something that wasn't flaky like music or dancing. This caused the two of them to clash on a regular basis. Other problems would arise from this and soon enough Chris decided it was time to seek out others that would support him no matter what. Where would he find such people? The Streets.
Fix got his name from, well, bein' everybody's fix. A drug pusher by trade and design, he ran the blocks around the Moss home. He had always tried to get Chris to join up with him, wanting to use the little dancing fool's growing popularity to draw in more customers. Chris had always avoided him. That all changed after his father went behind his back to sign him up for some crazy internship at some boring desk job company. They yelled, they screamed and Chris ran out. Hooked up with Fix and by the time summer break started he was makin' deliveries for the drug dude.
The majority of people would say that high school was murder. It was just the opposite for Li'l Chris. High school saved his life. Before he could get any deeper in the mistake that was drugs, he stumbled his way into something else entirely Something that was right up his alley. Dancing. Before he could even get settled in school on his first day, he was approached MJ and his Sick With It crew. Apparently, Chris had embarrassed MJ back in the day at some event. Of course, MJ never got over it and was now trying to garner some respect. After all, he had been in high school a full year before Chris showed up there. He and his crew had established that is their turf. He wasn't about to let Chris come in and change all of that.
They couldn't fight like everybody else. Oh no, MJ had something much more intense in mind. As the crowd gathered, MJ cued up the music and challenged Chris to a battle. Chris was hesitant. He hadn't moved in months. But like they say, if you got it, you got it. MJ and Chris went at it. Hard. Move for move, flip for flip, spin for spin. It was a draw for MJ had gotten better and Chris had gotten rusty. That's when MJ decided to up the ante. As a trump card, Sick With It jumped in and let Chris have it. There was no way Chris could keep up against an entire crew. Every time he tried to move, they shut him down. They crushed him. Then the bell rang to clear the front steps, leaving Chris to wallow in his loss.
"You're good." Somebody stuck around to help him up, though. His name was Nextel and he too was a dancer that just happened to hate MJ. The two became fast friends and Nextel introduced to NightLife. It was an unofficial club that provided the street dancers with a venue to show their skills and make some money at the same time. While being introduced to the rest of Nextel's friends, they witnessed crew after crew go up against Sick With It. Nothing but losses. It was that night that Chris decided he was going to put a stop to MJ's reign.
Chris and Nextel put all their free time into getting a squad together. Auditions, rehearsals and everything else were priority over school and life, in general. Chris left Fix out to dry, more or less, which isn't something you want to really do when there's drugs and money involved. So that's one problem he has to deal with. On top of that, he has to deal with high school and the constant war waged between Sick With It and the newest crew to make waves through the underground street dancing circuit: TKO.
Personality
Not quite complicated, Chris is something of a normal teenager. He's moody, hormonal and has this tendency to chase girls. But his love is in music and dancing. He's always had a deep love for performing and thus gives off the impression that he likes to be the center of attention. This, well, is true but it's not meant to be the focal point of who he is. He'd be just as happy choreographing for others as he would performing (maybe) for thousands of people. It's a part of who he is and that's what he spent his time clinging to, in order to stay out of trouble.
Generally speaking, though, Chris doesn't come with all the angst and whatnot that most teenagers have. He comes from a fairly functional and happy home and doesn't even know if he had a teen rebellion phase. Sure, he argues and has fights with his parents on a regular basis, but they never last long. He loves his family and they're probably the most important thing to him. He has a strong sense of loyalty and desire, which is exhibited by the way he leads TKO. Popularity hasn't gone to his head, as he still remains a grounded individual over all.

TKO
TKO stands for Technical Knock Out. Or Totally Knocked Out. Or any modified version thereof. Basically, the crew was put together by Chris and his friends to combat the styles of the rival crew Sick With It. TKO incorporates a variety of different dance styles from Krumpin' to Breakin' to generalized Hip Hop. Routines can range in times and battles seem to happen on the regular. They are, quite literally, one of the baddest and freshest crews to ever grace the streets of New York.

Roster
- Chris: The leader or captain of TKO. Very versatile style, very animated and capable of improvisation on the spot. Really seems to shine when it comes to solos or picking up the pieces in a battle going down hill.
- Nextel: Quite possibly his best friend, Chris and Nextel are so slick together. Nextel's moves are not as slick as Chris's, but he provides a strong foundation to compliment Junior's style. Sort of a breakin'/krumpin' hybrid style.
- Optimal: TKO's big man is "too tall" to be a dancer, but they didn't count on him being able to move like that. Killer on the floor with spins and the like. He's like a human pinwheel.
- Giselle: Feminine sexuality aside, Giselle rocks it hard with the boys. Nowhere near being a tomboy (her figure won't allow that) she pop-locks better than half the east coast and tends to let that shine during battles and routines.
- Butta': Smooth is the best way to describe this young man. Hailing from an actual dance school, Butta' brings a different flavor into the mix of TKO. Somehow he's capable of incorporating Waltz, Jazz and even Ballet into the routines. Major asset.
