Emily Leglise was orphaned at a young age, and taken into the Belmont household in Italy. She grew up as the playmate and servant to Elisabetha Belmont, and has been with the older girl her entire life. She long ago fell in love with her, and is completed devoted to Elisabetha's well-being and happiness, even at the expense of her own. She has joined Elisabetha and Novak Garbaldi on their journey around the world, and is now in New York City with the two.
