History

Jasmine was born mere minutes after her twin sister, Daphne, but the hospital made a mistake and mistagged the younger sister. She was taken in by a family from London, where she would be taken less than a year into her life. Her parents, as she knew them to be at least, were named James Morrison and Marissa Thompson, a couple that, while never married, lived as though they were.

She spent a majority of her childhood outside, playing games—notably, football ("Soccer, to you Yanks" as she's found herself having to say A LOT lately). She always had dreams of becoming a professional player, but in the end, she never could. It didn't deter her from being a rabid fan of the Chelsea Football Club, however. She's constantly seen, when in casual settings, in one of the club's shirts.

Jasmine attended Oxford to earn her bachelor's degree, but couldn't afford to continue her education there beyond that. An opportunity arose in the United States, and Jasmine, despite calling England home, decided to take it and try life across the pond.

Also…she can zap the hell out of you.

Timeline

  • 05 September 2007: Surprise Mirror Image: Either someone's cloning people, or someone's parents have a lot of explaining to do.
  • 12 September 2007: Dragons v. Rangers: Jasmine and Sharon meet during a game of soccer and get to know each other afterwards.

Quotes

  • "Look…first of all, it's called football, you lil wanker. Second, if you ever mutter the name Manchester United at me again, this ball's gonna have a nice lil meetin' with ya natches." To a college kid wearing a ManU jersey, referring to the game as soccer and ignorantly saying David Beckham still played for ManU.
  • "What…the FUCK…are you talking about?" At this, Jasmine actually gets out of her chair, knocking her ball up into her h ands and looking across the table at the other girl, "I don't know who you are, I don't know what…bug guy you're talking about, and I certainly think I'd remember if someone tried to erase my memory. So maybe you ought to take your looney-bin babbling to someone who gives a shit." To Laurel, when Laurel confuses Jasmine for Daphne. Jasmine isn't exactly subtle.
  • ""Mm…I play when I kin. Not as big 'ere as back 'home, sa I make due with what I kin find. The local club's not worth joinin', anyway…not 'less ya fancy some bottom flight football with some guhls prone ta bruisin' ya legs. Look fer the picky teams; they're the ones worth playin' fer." To Sharon, about what soccer team to start playing for.

Power Information

  • Power: Electrokinesis
  • Stunts
    • Electric Eel: Ya know how they always warn you don't play with the hair dryer near the bath tub? This is why. Jasmine has the ability to produce electrical currents through any kind of liquid and with a notable focus she can avert the voltage from herself if it should be in a pool or the like. Her most difficulty ability Jasmine has yet to truly test this one. DIFFICULTY: SUPERB. DEFENDER ROLL: STAMINA.
    • Extra Crispy: As the name implies this is what Jasmine does when she has something she needs a lot of power for. Be it when she feels threatened restoring power to something or anything that involves a lot of voltage. DIFFICULTY: GOOD. DEFENDER ROLL: STAMINA.
    • Getcha Moving: Jasmine has fine-tuned her ability and is able to generate as much or as little voltage as she needs for any particular purpose. In this case all she does is offer a little zap-something to get someone moving something to add a little extra stimulation during a massage something like that. It's not intended to hurt but for one unsuspecting it could offer a bit too much surprise. DIFFICULTY: GOOD.
    • Heart Attack: Okay so Jasmine can't ACTUALLY cause her victim to have a heart attack. But she can certainly numb body parts so that one might think it was the onset of one. By fluke on one occasion she left a boy paralyzed for the better part of a day after kissing her but let's not get into THAT story. DIFFICULTY: GREAT. DEFENDER ROLL: STAMINA.
    • High Voltage: Let's put it simply. Everyone knows that too high of voltage can be deadly both to humans and to machines. While Jasmine doesn't have the ability to manipulate the voltage to the point of knowing exactly how much she's putting out she's well aware when she's pumping too much or too little. DIFFICULTY: GREAT. DEFENDER ROLL: STAMINA.
    • Overload: Somewhat of a spin off of Power Up, this is if Jasmine needs something removed. If a TV is beyond repair if she doesn't like the security camera watching heror even if she's deciding to take out a car of someone she doesn't like she can overload the circuits involved. DIFFICULTY: GREAT.
    • Power Up: Ever been in a power outage and your flashlight just isn't bright enough? That's this stunt for Jasmine. With considerable focus she has the ability to power anything involving electricity to run a little better-lights become brighter computers run more efficiently etc. DIFFICULTY: GREAT.

Personality Analysis

Trivia

  • Jasmine is a staunch Chelsea FC supporter. She has a collection of the club's shirts, the most recent of which (and, thus, her most common one of late) is seen here, which she proudly has customized with her own last name and the number 26 after her favorite player, John Terry.
  • Apart from being a footballer, Jasmine has an affinity for motorcycles. She secretly hopes to get one herself one day, but she…can't exactly afford it at the moment.
  • Jasmine can't lie. It's just…it's a fact. You'll always know if she's lying to you.
  • Jasmine can be very opinionated, especially about a subject she's passionate about. That said, sometimes, she just talks. If you ever need someone to chill in a coffee shop with or somethin', Jasmine's that kind of girl.
    • Note: Party > Coffee Shop
    • Second note: Sports game > Party
  • Jasmine is slightly near-sighted, often preferring to simply wear her glasses rather than deal with contacts. Some days, though, she'll put her contacts in.

Wish List

  • Autographed shirt of John Terry (she has a pre-paid Visa she puts money on every month, just in case)
  • 2007 Honda Interceptor
  • Tea. Any kind of tea. Coffee works in a pinch.
