A student at Brubaker Secondary School, he seems to keep mostly to himself, with the exception of the few friends he has. He hangs out with them regularly! That can all change, however. All you have to do is say hi! (It's a long story! But if you say hi, he's much more likely to open up to you. He just doesn't like to make the initial contact!)
History
It only takes one friend to start someone down the wrong path, a path of drugs, money, women, sex… well, at least a couple of those things. Joshua Moore was born to your average parents in New York City— a working mother, and a working father, who made the most time they could for their son, but of course, sometimes work would just get in the way. Because of this, Joshua spent a lot of his childhood at his grandmother's house just outside the city. Once he was old enough where he could stay home alone, that's exactly what Josh did, watching TV, playing a game, or toiling away on the guitar. It wasn't until he hit the later grades of seven and eight that he started to socialize with people from school, and he quickly became best friends with a guy named Will.
Will was no different than Josh, really. Parents always at work, always had the house to himself. Well, two teenage kids with no parents around to guide them can lead to.. well, exploration of recreation. The two quickly became involved in smoking marijuana together, and eventually, through Will's guidance and influence (read: peer pressure) Josh took to selling it. And why not? He wasn't really doing anything /bad/ (at least in his eyes!) and it didn't hurt to have that extra cash flow coming in (his parents always made enough so they had food and a roof over their head, plus a few extra things— but they certainly weren't rich.) He never dealt too much. The less you're caught with, the better.
Bad news came just after Josh started attending Brubaker Secondary School. Will's parents were leaving New York City and heading south to Florida, where Will's grandparents had relocated. they keep in touch, over the internet, through e-mail, and the occasional time that Will can get up to New York City to visit. Josh, no longer having his best friend around, pretty much kept to himself for his first year at Brubaker, but he started to open up a bit more as the year went on, making a few friends. Now, at Brubaker for his second year, he's not so much the loner he was before. After all, it's hard to be a pot dealer when you don't talk to anyone, isn't it? (That and he loves to pull a prank every now and then.)
