History

A twenty-five year old professional photographer focused on layout designs, advertising, graduations, weddings and general photo shoots. Quotes

  • "It's a very good thing that I'm on a sugar diet. Else I'd be worried you're trying to make me fat so you can steal my 'non-existent' boyfriend."
  • "I'm really happy we're not nuts— But— we should probably keep this between us— I guess us and the animals— "
  • "What the hell is going on?"
  • "We might have some kind of alien gene or something."

Trivia

  • Her last name comes from the city of Halifax in Yorkshire, England, and literally means Holy Hair.
  • During college, she was tutored by Marcus in French, which she has since forgotten much of.
  • Became close friends with Daphne Rousseau, after her first major photo shoot outside of college for the Bronx Zoo, a friendship which continues to this day. By coincidence, it should be noted that Daphne actually means "laurel" in Greek.
  • At a young age, Laurel competed in figure skating, though not seriously. To this day she still ice skates as a hobby.
  • She uses both digital photography and old style, developing much of her own photographs in a darkroom that she made in her apartment.
  • Her photographs tend to have the helix symbol hidden in them, whether actually in the shape of objects, or in tricks of light, shadow and spacing, a phenomenon she has noticed in recent weeks. She has begun to collect them into a portfolio, which she is keeping secret from all but a select few people.
