More of the Same

The Brawler's Headquarters, The Bronx

It's amazing what you can get on discount if its for a business and thanks to some local tech stores, the far wall of the Headquarters is now set up with four monitors forming a large square of them. At least they were up, not that they were working, which is what Tyson was trying to rectify now as he stood in the center ring looking up at the rafters. Of course, this was only step one, as the many more unopened boxes might suggest.

Well, it had been a while since the virus, but it was the first time that Ophelia had really returned to where she had found Tyson. Maybe she wasn't really sure what she was coming for or why she was coming. Ever since that one visit to the hospital, she hadn't seen Tyson, either.

"Hm… I'll probably need to set up the camera's on tracks or-…" Tyson's train of thought is interrupted by a sideways glance at the entrance and spying a familiar looking girl who he hadn't seen in a while. He smiles and starts making his way towards him, hopping out of the main ring with little problem. "Hey, Phi!" Tyson calls out, his tone possibly coming off as excited.

"Hey. It's good to see you up." Ophelia murmurs, glancing over as she meets him half-way. "Making preparations, I see?" She questions, taking a quick look around for the improvements.

"Yeah," Tyson nods back towards the screens, "Those are going to be for news and stuff like that, alternating close-ups, I don't know." He shrugs, "The next thing is to set up cameras so we can start broadcasting; which makes perfect sense, since we're having that tournament, right?" Tyson seems proud of himself, but only a moment later gets a curious expression and looks at Ophelia, "Did you think you were getting in on that, I can't remember?"

"Yeah, I was planning on it. I've got a score to settle." Ophelia murmurs, glancing back at him. "Can't settle it outside the ring, it seems, so it looks like I'll just have to fight to the very end…"

Hearing Phi's answer, Tyson can't help but shake his head a little, not that she'd really see it sense he had turned around and was making his way towards a box and started opening it. "Not that I'm not happy you're still on that vengeance quest, but he may not even make it that far…" Tyson doesn't look sure of that statement.

"Hold on…" Tyson had said before rushing off into some back corner of the HQ some time ago; the conversation had been on the cameras that were yet to be put up and then he had an idea, so he literally ran with it. Still, it sure would be interesting what he came back with.
Moments pass, as do more moments, but then Tyson does indeed return, "I've got rope!" He announces with satisfaction. "Now we can get /some/ of these up." If he doesn't die, that is.

"Ty.." Ophelia warns. "Don't hurt yourself." She urges, shaking her head a little and folding her arms over her chest. "I mean, nearly dying like.. twice in the period of a few weeks isn't really allowed…"

Tyson looks back at Ophelia and can't help but smile with defiance, "Don't tell me what to do… besides you're going to help. You see, I'm going to climb up that wall ladder over there and work my way around the rafters setting up cameras on the walls so we have a lot of area covered. What I need you to do is hold onto this rope, tied around my waist, to make sure if I /do/ fall, you're there to keep me from going back to the hospital. Okay?" Maybe he was asking a little much…

Ophelia eyes Tyson carefully, a slight frown on her face. Sure, it sounds easy, but she's not entirely sure she wants to let him just go up there and crawl around in the rafters. If she had her way, he'd be still resting, but she didn't say so. Watching Tyson carefully, she nods after a moment. "Alright, I guess.."

Tyson catches her expression shift and, despite going along with his plan anyway, stops to confront it. "Hey, Phi, if you don't want to go through with it, it's no biggie. I just suggested it because I figure it needs to be done, eventually. I guess it doesn't need to be done for this tourney, but…" He shrugs, "All right, let's just… put this stuff away and go for a walk, how about it?"

"No, it's alright.. if you really want to we can stay here and work on this." Ophelia does seem a little off, though she does her best to shake it off. "It's up to you. We can do what you want."

"You know what…" Tyson begins, turning away from Ophelia back towards the boxes of technology. "I think I've been putting business before a bunch of other things I could be having more fun with." He shrugs, dropping the rope in the boxes, and turning back to Phi. "Let's take a walk and freeze ourselves in the process." He says with warm smile to counteract the freezing notion, he tries.

"All right," Tyson nods, casting a look back at the boxes. Internally, he's thinking about putting them up before departing, but… "Let's get going." He says simply, "We're cooler than any Ice Storm, anyway." Joking aside, Tyson begins to make his way towards the exit, making sure to lock the doors once they got outside so no one would get in and steal anything.

GAME: Ophelia has rolled CALM BEFORE THE STORM and got a result of GOOD.
Once outside, Ophelia shivers just a little at the chill air, glancing about for a moment. Ice storm, huh? Well, not if she has anything to do with it. She glances around for a quick moment, struggling to concentrate and calm the weather down, just to make it a little warmer and comfortable for their walk. Or at least, four blocks worth of it.

Stepping away from the door, Tyson joins Ophelia in the surprisingly cool weather. "Hey… it's not that bad out here." He offers, carefully observing the sky before turning to Ophelia to see her reaction, though when he does, he happens to catch her eyes twinkling a little. It only served to enhance her appearance, but he didn't say anything about it, of course; he simply noted it amidst the winter chill. Instead he says, "So, in terms of a walk, let's check out Central Park… I don't know what is, but I love that place."

"Told you it probably wasn't bad. You've just been warm indoors so you think it's colder than it really is." Ophelia smiles cheerily, glancing around for a moment. "The park seems alright. I kind of like it a lot there myself. Spent a lot of time there in the past." And a few nights, once. But she won't mention that.

Tyson nods, "You've got a point, Phi; not to mention how unpredictable the weather /can/ be." He loosens his grip on his outerwear and relaxes a little. "So, off we go to Central Park, then." Tyson affirms and starts on their way.

Ophelia can't help but smile. "Yeah, it's pretty unpredictable. Kind of like people." She murmurs, following after Tyson as he leads the way.

As the pair heads off for what ever destination they had in mind, someone watches, quite peturbed by the female's presence especially. Despite the feeling bubbling within him, he does not approach them, and instead pulls out a cellphone and speed dials a number. "Yeah, Boss, they've left… Locked it, too… Uh-huh… Uh-huh… All right, I'm coming home, but I don't know how long they're going to be gone for… right… right… we're not going anywhere… Over and out." Hanging up the phone, the apparent observer turns and walks off in the opposite direction of Ophelia and Tyson, revealing, to anyone watching, a Golden Ace on his back.
