Heroes MUSH: Revolutions begins…
Hello, heroes!
You may have caught wind of something new in the air.
With the end of the Dark Future upon us (or at least, our time travellers' journey back from the future and the end of the plot as we know it), Volume Two: Shadows keeps going. The leap into the Dark Future marked the end of Beginnings and the start of a new chapter in the lives of the heroes… villains… and everyman you've created in our intricate Heroes world. Times are changing.
Get ready.
With new directions and twisting plots to explore in the coming times, I want to mark over seven months of Heroes MUSH adventures (can you believe it?!) with something I like to call Heroes MUSH: Revolutions.
Interactive, fun (I hope!) and entirely unlike anything a MU* has ever seen — taking you in directions… and /places/ you'd never expect an online roleplaying game to go, Revolutions takes a page from Heroes: Evolutions and beyond. Exploring Heroes and Heroes MUSH in new ways that get YOU involved, some of Revolutions will be purely OOC fun, while other aspects will give you sneak peeks into IC happenings — and more.
Did I mention there'll be prizes?
The possibilities are endless.
Heroes MUSH: Revolutions starts now.
Your Revolutions Master,
Serotonin
Welcome back to Heroes MUSH: Revolutions.
I'm doing this because, basically, I love you guys and want some neat things for you to do! To begin Revolutions, we're starting with something easy. Or is it so easy…? You decide, in this trivia game designed to test your knowledge of Heroes and Heroes MUSH!
"Log in" to Revolutions from the main page of the wiki to access Trivia Round #1. There will be subsequent rounds every week (sometimes every 1-2 weeks). Each time, you have the chance of winning a prize! For the first round, the exact nature of the prize is a secret.
@mail Serotonin your answers. This round, two winners will be randomly selected from the correct submissions. The answers will be posted Tuesday, September 9th! Good luck, heroes.
- Serotonin
Bring on your answers! Challenge those brains of yours, heroes. I want to give you prizes.
Here are some hints for Trivia Round #1:
- The cafe in question is not Starbucks, though they certainly exist in NYC, too - everywhere! In REAL life, it's actually a bar and restaurant. On grid, there's one letter of difference in the name, and it's a cafe.
- The bonus question has nothing to do with Heroes. It's just a fun fact.
- Wiki and Google are your friends! Scavenge!

Thank you for participating in the first installment of Heroes MUSH: Revolutions!
You were challenged with trivia and obsession paid off… for three of you! Two of those three were randomly chosen as lucky winners:
Bekah
Peter
The prizes will be unveiled before next week, so keep watching. A special mention also goes to Kara who also found the correct set of answers this round.
"Log in" to the Revolutions site on the wiki to read the answers… AND MORE.
Your Revolutions Master,
Serotonin
You can now collect Heroes MUSH characters just like Sylar, but with a lot less blood and death and lack of skull.
Revolutions brings you Heroes MUSH Collectable Cards. Each pack of digital cards includes two cards: an artistic photo (by Serotonin) and a full colour original art piece by one of our resident artists, Meryl.

Keep your eye on Revolutions for new cards following every round of trivia, and watch out for bonus cards also. You never know when, or where, they'll show up. Collect them all!

* An epic Heroes thanks to Meryl! *
The first ever prizes from the first round of trivia will be up soon — in the meantime, welcome to the second round of Heroes MUSH: Revolutions trivia! This time, there are more questions with the additions of a Quotes section, but they might not be so tricky. You be the judg!. In celebration of September 22nd fast approaching, this week's trivia is the Villains edition.
"Log in" to Revolutions from the main page of the wiki to access Trivia Round #2. @mail Serotonin your answers. You have until noon EST on Tuesday, September 16th to submit them, after which the winners and answers will be announced. Note, this time, that the character you submit your answer from will be related to your prize, should you win! Good luck, heroes.
Your Revolutions Master,
Serotonin
Thanks for participating in the Villains edition of Heroes MUSH: Revolutions trivia! Round #2 is now wrapped up.
A single winner has been chosen this week at random out of the correct submissions:
Elena
A special mention also goes to Cass who also found the correct set of answers this round. Kellie and Sylar sure tricked the rest of you! Those naughty villains.
Keep watching to see last week's prizes — don't worry, they're coming! Log in to Revolutions on the wiki to view the answers (and videos!).
Your Revolutions Master,
Serotonin
Welcome back to Heroes MUSH: Revolutions. It's been awhile — Revolutions hasn't seen much action since September, but that's about to change with a new round of trivia and who knows what else!
Trivia Round #3 is finally here with new Heroes MUSH questions to test your obsession! "Log in" to Revolutions from the main page of the wiki to access the questions (http://heroesmush.wikidot.com/revolutions — it's also a good place to go for newer players who haven't seen this type of thing before! Check out the archives). @mail Serotonin your answers. You have until noon EST on Wednesday, January 14th to submit them, after which the winner and answers will be announced. There will, of course, be prizes, all in good fun! Good luck, heroes.

Bringing various media together outside of the realm of text is part of what Revolutions is — so finally, after seeing tons of art floating around the wiki and players' personal sites, I present you with:
The Fan Art Page
http://heroesmush.wikidot.com/fanart
In time, it will become flashier. It's very simple to use: simply upload a file to the page (include your name in the filename) and voila, it's part of the gallery! Enjoy.
P.S. In an effort to cut down on multiples of images on the wiki filling up the database, this page should eventually become the mecca of art from which most art is linked.
P.P.S. I've added an … example. … it is not fine art.
Your Revolutions Master,
Serotonin
Today being the one year anniversary of our official opening day, what better time to reflect on past scenes? I present to you the optional, completely for fun:
Standout Scene Challenge
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is this: look back on the scenes *your* character has been in from February to February. What nine scenes were the most memorable and why? Maybe they tugged at your heartstrings or had a particularly funny moment or cool fight — or maybe it was the dynamic interaction and especially defining turning points of character development that made them stand out to you.
They don't have to be in order — there doesn't even have to be nine (but I REVOLUTIONS CHALLENGE YOU!). The Standout Scene Challenge is simply an interesting addition to your wiki page! If you're newer and haven't had that many scenes yet, no worries. There's always time for reflection later.
Happy Nostalgia (or Not-So-Nostalgic),
Serotonin
After getting this idea and gauging player interest, I present to you:
The Heroes MUSH "Be A Hero" Campaign:
http://www.firstgiving.com/beahero
What is the "Be A Hero" Campaign?
It's a way to give back to the world, in the spirit of heroes everywhere: to be more than a game, to go beyond text, and to make a difference. The first nonprofit we're supporting is the Epilepsy Foundation — you can read all about it on the site, where more info about the campaign is, as well! A permanent link will be placed on Heroes MUSH: Revolutions on the wiki to be easily accessible any time.
The Details
Since this is brand new for us, we're still in the "testing the waters" stage. If it goes over well, we can branch out in the future and players can choose what charity to support, etc. Who knows where it'll go! It is, of course, completely optional. You can give if you *want* to, or not, as you wish! You can donate as much or as little as you like. The amount isn't shown on the page, and you can put whatever you want as your display name — or keep it Anonymous! Don't feel bad if you can't participate right now: just being here, you're a part of something special.
How Does It Work?
It's supery easy: you just go to our fundraising page (the link above), hit "Give Now" and follow the instructions. FirstGiving.com takes a small percentage of the donation to help run the site, but it's pretty reasonable; it's for a good cause and they make it safe, secure and easy for anyone to donate. Voila! NOTE: if you want to take part but cannot use a credit card, contact Serotonin.
Be A Hero!
Your Revolutions Master,
Serotonin <3
