Slinging Ink Tattoos

Dani sits behind the glass display case, working on a drawing for another customer. The sound of Paramore pumps through the speakers in the shop. He bobs his head slightly with the music as he works. He sits up slightly and stretches as he looks over the work he's completed so far on the drawing.

Celeste sits on one of the couches doing one of her favorite pass times, Sudoku. She gets up and walks to the fridge to grab a soda, "Dani, would you like a soda?" she asks him on her way to the fridge.

Okay, so getting a tatoo wasn't in Tyson's gameplan, but getting information was and as he entered the tattoo parlor his eyes caught apparent employees working and lounging about, respectively. He decides to approach the guy at the counter. "Hello there…"

Dani looks to Celeste and shakes his head. "Naw. I'll take a water though." He says before he looks to the door as it opens, offering a nod to Tyson as he enters. "Hey there. Welcome to Slinging Ink." He says, setting the pencil down. "How can I help you?"

Celeste nods, "Okay you got it." she reaches into the fridge and grabs a water, and a soda for herself, she hands it to Dani, "Hello, Welcome to Slinging Ink." she says before returning to the couch.

Acknowledging both greetings, Tyson waved to both before addressing the guy behind the counter. "Yeah, I was wondering if you have any preset 'Ace' stencils, ready?" Kind of vague, but since he figured they wouldn't remember clientele or be allowed to mention them like doctors or something…

Dani thinks for a moment and nods. "Yeah, we got a few of them on the wall of the flash art. Any particular style you got in mind?" He asks, moving around the counter and heading towards the area of the wall with the Ace flash.

Celeste sits down on the couch, and continues to do Sudoku, taking a sip of her soda before setting it down on the coffee table.

"Hm…" Tyson thinks about the question, and about the best way to find out what he wanted to know, "I don't know, but I'm thinking I either want in either black or gold- whatever the trend is…" After this, he pauses, looking back at the girl on the couch, as well, "You don't know anybody with an Ace tat, do you?"

Dani thinks and nods. "Well, we can do whatever color you want, I was asking more for the style." He says, pointing to the flash art. "As you can see, there are many different styles." He says, looking back to Tyson.

Celeste looks up from her Sudoku, "I'm not sure I do, to tell you the truth." she says with a smile, "But if you are looking to get one, we would be glad to help you out." she adds in taking a drink of her soda.

It didn't look like either of them knew anybody with the tattoo and that was kind of a bad thing seeing as he couldn't recall ever catching a good look at it. The good news was that they weren't apart of that gang, "Well… to be honest… I don't even know, I was just trying to remember what the rest of my friends were getting and all I know is that they were getting it in the shape of a spade, but I don't think they realize that Aces are just a rank of card, and that the cards are actually separated by suit…"

Dani nods. "Well, if you can find a picture of it or get someone who has it in here, I'm sure we can do it up for you, no problem."

Celeste smiles, "Yeah that would work out perfectly, we would love to do that for you." she says with a grin, "Just come back anytime, unless you can draw it up, I have plenty of drawing paper, and pencils if you would like to try to draw it up." she says to him.

The idea of drawing the Ace emblem seems like a good idea despite the fact that he had no confidence in his drawing ability and after a moment longer of consideration, he speaks up, "Yeah, I guess I could try and draw one. Point me at the paper and pencil." He smiles while looking at the preset stencils for any idea what he might be looking for. "Really, though? Neither of you remember any guys coming in and wanting a gold spade? They might've been wearing black vests with, I guess, the same ace on the back?"

Dani shakes his head. "I don't think so. How long ago would he have come in?" He asks as he moves back to the counter to get some fresh paper for Tyson. "I just took over a few days ago, so it must have been before that and if it was, then Mark might have done it."

Celeste thinks a moment, "Sorry no, Never seen 'em. she looks to Tyson, "Would you like something to drink?" she asks politely as she takes a drink of her soda.

At the drink offer, Tyson shakes his head, "No, but thanks for being so helpful." He nods, "But I guess they must have came in a while back… I haven't seen them in a while so I don't know if they actually went through with it… but yeah…" He moves over to try to draw a simple spade filling it in that it might be recognized black or gold.

Dani nods his head as he looks at the drawing as Tyson draws it. "Alright. That's simple enough. Anything else aside from the spade?" He asks as he looks over the drawing.

Celeste smiles, "No problem." she tells him, "Do you know if the spade has any specific characteristics about it?" she asks as she stands up and walks over to look at the picture.

Tyson examines his work and tries to remember any other details he might have missed. "No… I think that's about it. Sorry, I can't be more helpful." He shrugs, deciding he really should just break the charade, "Though, I guess I've got to be honest… the people getting the tattoo really aren't my friends, just gang members I've been trying to target…" Saying it out loud, however, only serves to make him realize how dumb he was being.

Dani nods his head. "Well, I'm not sure we've had them come in here before." He says as he looks over the drawing. He tries to think. "I could probably ask around at some of the other shops. See if they've come in there for you."

Celeste looks to Tyson, "I'll keep an eye out for them, and you could come in here again, and we'll let you know if we see any of them." she says with a smile. "I sure hope you find them." she says with a hopeful look.

"Yeah, well thanks." Tyson sighs, thankful they were being so helpful at least. "I think at least one of those guys have a tat of it, so I'm thinking I can find a place with some connection to them? If not, then I guess I'll try a new angle." He rubs the back of his neck. "Frankly, I'd much rather not find them; but it /seems/ they've got plans to annoy the hell out of me at every other turn…."

Dani chuckles and nods. "Well, I'll be sure to let you know if I hear anything." He says, looking up at Tyson. "Do you have a number I can reach you at?"
Celeste nods, "Okay, I'll keep an eye out for them." she says with a smile.

Tyson shakes his head, "Yeah… I've got a phone, not on me, but a phone nonetheless. 313-843-5464." He shrugs, thinking about possible reasons out loud, "I don't think I like being able to be reached every second of the day… I guess I should change that…"

Dani chuckles and nods, writing down the number. "Well, I'll call you if I hear something and I'll let you know." He says as he looks at Tyson. "Sorry we couldn't be more help."

Celeste nods, "I don't blame you." she says with a smile, "That why I only give it to the people I know and trust." she tells him. Shakes her head, "Sorry we couldn't help out more, hope everything gets better for you." she says with a smile.

"It's okay. I guess it was kind of a long shot coming into some random parlor looking for a clue on a gang." Tyson explains, trying to alleviate some of their apparent guilt. "Any help you can give me would be great, though. I can only assume you'll run into some day; but at least then, you'll have my number?"

Dani nods his head. "Yeah. We got it. I'll put it in the shop phone and keep it in my office. If I see one, you'll be the first to know."

Celeste shakes her head, "It's all good, no problem at all." she says with a smile, "Good luck." she tells him with a grin.

"All right…" Tyson nods, "I guess that's it then, not that I don't appreciate the fine art of ink on skin… I just don't have a good design in mind."

Dani nods his head. "If you do, come on in and we'll give you a discount. All piercings are $20."
Celeste smiles, "That's alright, whenever you do, just stop by here and we can hook you up." she says with a grin.

"I can't help but feel like I'm going to take you up on those offers, but first saying piercings and then saying 'hook me up' freaks me right out, no offense of course… just that it's kind of funny." Tyson chuckles a little, taking steps back towards the exit, as he remembered the last bit of needed information. "I'm Tyson, by the way."

Dani chuckles and smirks. "Well, we have the hooks in the back. Those cost extra." He says with a smirk, offering a hand. "I'm Dani Stone. I own the place." He says before he nods to Celeste. "That's Celeste."

Celeste smiles, "Hi, It's good to meet you, and I promise we won't do anything to you unless you want us to." she says with a wink.

"Right…" Tyson replies, examining the expressions on both Dani and his accomplices faces. "Some other time… I may even bring a friend; but yeah, I guess I'll catch you both later. Take care." He waves, pushing on the door to be gone in a moment.

Dani smiles and waves. "Later." He calls back to him before he returns to behind the glass counter and continues to work on the drawing he was previously.

Celeste waves back, and turns to Dani, "Well that was interesting." she says with a smile, "Oh yeah, I brought that CD of my band." she pulls it out from her bag and lays it on the counter beside Dani.
