Zac is a relatively unknown working actor living in New York City, New York. He's been living there since July of 2007, and while he knows a few people a little bit, still doesn't know anyone all that well. That is to say, he's still yet to make a friend in The City. Will YOU be that friend? Who knows.
History
Zac Gilley was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 14th, 1976. His family was a the usual upper-lower-class/lower-middle-class kind that one would see in an industrialized town in Northwestern Ohio. Home of Libbey Glass, Champion Spark Plugs, the world-famous Jeep, and..not much else. Well, there's Tony Packo's if you like Hot Dogs and M*A*S*H. Zac wasn't a prodigy, but he was bright and it showed early on. The kind of bright that kept kids out of popular social circles from the outset. He made a few friends, and those he made he kept close. Oftentimes though, his closest friends were books. When he got a little older, into junior high, he put on a little weight. He convinced himself he was a jock, and started playing football. The first year, he didn't know what 1st and 10 meant let alone anything else. By the time his second year came around, he had grown a few inches and put on a few more pounds. He knew what he was doing at it showed. He went into high school and then got hurt. He couldn't play football anymore, and all the friends he made in the 'popular' circle over the past couple of years evaporated.
While he was recuperating, he discovered a few things that became integral to his personality: Comic Books, gaming, and pop culture in general. He dove into these things, as well as the computer - one thing he'd had since he was seven - and joined the cadre of freaks, geeks, and nerds at his High School. He studied, but didn't apply himself. It was obvious he was bright, but he was also a slacker. High School bored him greatly, and despite his involvement with Drama Club, Quiz Bowl, Student Government, and being a fringe Band Nerd he barely graduated. He started college that fall, and with no one to tell him that he had to go to school..well, he didn't. He flunked out a year and a half later and proceeded to spend the next few years working a job or two at a time and spending his free time gaming, chasing girls, preforming with a local Rocky Horror Picture Show cast…or trying to combine doing all of those things at once.
He tried going back to school, but aside from a couple of computer certifications nothing at the local community college held his interest and he didn't want to go into debt messing around with the local four-year institution. He contented himself with landing a factory job, and persuing his interests on the side only trading the Rocky Horror Picture Show gambit for legitmate theater. This kept on for a couple of years. Then, about a month after his thirtieth birthday he became gravely ill.
He spent the next year in and out of the hospital with a gall bladder that came out quick, and nursing a severe problem with his pancreas. He had built up a considerable amount of weight up until this happened, and while sick dropped a good portion of it. Starting out at 283 pounds, and coming out on the other side of his illness at 181, he felt he'd be given a new lease on life. Taking up what savings he had, he decided to make a go of acting as a career and took himself and his little nest egg to New York to give things a go. This was about July, 2007.
A few months after that…things got weird…
