Over the last few years, Elena has forged and broken numerous connections. These are just some of them.
Ramon Gomez
Elena's father, currently the Chairman of the Board of Evolution Software as well as the most dominant male presence in her life. Given her cultural background and Catholic upbringing, despite the young lady's growing independence, she still somehow remains deferential to her father unless he does something that affects him adversely. Known Abilities: Telepathy
Catalina Gomez
Elena's mother, murdered by a serial killer dubbed "The Alchemist." Growing up, Elena was inspired to become a professional chef because of Catalina's skills in the kitchen. When she died, Elena decided to be a doctor instead. Most of her memories of her mother involve the kitchen. A beautiful woman in life, her looks live on in her two daughters. Known Abilities: Currently Undiscovered
Desiree Gomez (nee Russo)
Elena's stepmother, and a bright and cheery personality from the South, Desiree had been going back and forth from New York until the young Gomez girl offered her a place to stay in the Gomezes' old apartment. Her charisma has managed to win over Elena's gruff, no-nonsense father, and the two were later married. The result of this union has expanded Elena's family, and with it, its capacity to get into trouble. Known Abilities: Precognition
Manuel Gomez
There was a time where Manny had been rather distant from his family. A juvenile delinquent, he did drugs, ran with gangs, and participated in dangerous car races. After the death of his mother's killer, and his near-death experience in his hands, there has been a change for the better in his behavior. He has grown closer to Elena and his father since then, especially at the discovery of his dark and dangerous gift. Known Abilities: Degeneration
Portia Maddox
Elena's stepsister, and a promising musician and performer. While the young Gomez brunette is still trying to get to know Desiree's daughter, the two of them get along well. Family is family, and despite the lack of hereditary blood ties, Elena will defend Portia as if she were. She has recently expressed an interest in entering the prestigious music programs in the famous Juilliard School, a decision that Elena approves of. Known Abilities: Invisibility
Parker Maddox
Portia's twin, and Elena's stepbrother. Much like Portia, Elena is still trying to get to know Parker, who seems to get along with Luis the best given similar interests. He has long-since supplanted Elena's place in the Great Gomez Pizza Battles, because when three growing young men are convened around a dining table full of pizza, girls just don't stand a chance. Known Abilities: Bodily Possession
Luis Gomez
Stoic like his father, Luis's hobbies lie in the geeky and creative. A big fan of videogames, tabletop games, action movies, and anything of the sci-fi/fantasy genre, Luis packs a surprising amount of creativity in someone so young. It is only later that the Gomez family realized that he, too, has an ability, and one rooted in that ability to create. His current dream is to become a famous fiction writer. Known Abilities: Reality Bending (Narration)
Juanita Gomez
A sweet, innocent eleven year-old girl, little 'Nita is the darling of her family. The early manifestation of a powerful ability has caused many a sleepless night on Ramon's part. The older members of the Gomez family currently face hard decisions ahead, when it comes to this little girl. After all, how does a family raise mankind's insurance policy? Known Abilities: CLASSIFIED
Armelita "Grandma" Gomez
A tough old broad with an acerbic tongue and a mean shotgun, Armelita Gomez spent her long and storied life as many things; a flamenco dancer, a freedom fighter, and a World War II radio dispatcher among many other professions. The old woman has seen the world, has met plenty of people, and always has plenty of stories to tell. With so much experience stashed in a body that is still spry despite her years, her tolerance for bull is… well, expectedly tiny. She is said to have a way to get people to listen. This may or may not be due to her ability. Known Abilities: Combustion
