"Extreme Makeover: Identity Edition"

Special Projects office, New York City

There's a sense of impending transition at the office - nothing new, really, just the head of the org chart preparing to head back to the capital for another few days to a week. George's train fare is already booked for oh-dark thirty, but first, tying up what loose ends he can. Such as this one: "Ah, Robin, good— thought I might miss you again," he says, easing the soundproofed door closed behind him. "Have a few minutes for a new gray op?"

Robin is working away at the computer, typing something. He stops as he hears George come in, quickly turning around. He grins and nods to the question, "Sure, what do you need?" The teen glances to the screen again and what he was working on is saved and shut down without him touching the computer. He looks back up to George then.

George arches a brow at the lack of contact. "Showoff," he mutters absently before continuing. "Have you seen The Shawshank Redemption? Accountant gets framed for killing his wife, winds up helping the warden and the guards with their money problems?"

Robin just grins again at the mutter, "I have to keep in practice." Then he gets more serious and listens. "No, but that sounds like it might be a cool movie. I'll see if it's on Netflix. Why, you want me to go to jail or something?"

"Nothing quite so James Bond," replies George, pulling up a chair and settling down. "You remember Colby, from the Washington staff? She's got a friend who's trying to get off the Protocol's radar - I'm going to see if I can arrange a meeting while I'm down there - anyway, she asked if we could lay hands on a fake ID, one they won't be looking for, so I thought maybe you could break into an appropriate database and then let the system take care of printing up the actual card to go with it…"

Robin nods a little again as he thinks about that. "Yeah, it shouldn't be a problem. Depends if the system's connected to the net, if not I might have to get somewhere close. She going to go in saying she lost her license or something? If it works out ok, I can have all her fake info on file and she can just get a new one, with a no photo."

George rubs his chin. "Driver's license would be the most obvious target," he says, "but if you spot an easier target, don't rule it out. Anything they can get, they can take it and try to get something else from it. A friend of my dad's once said— well, never mind that, you can work out the details better than I can." It's what he hired the kid to do, after all.

Robin nods again to that as he thinks, and says, "I'll look into it. Driver's License might be the best still. A library card wouldn't help much. How old are they? A student picture ID might work out. You'll have to give me all their info and everything, and can see what I can do."

"Other than presumably a DC resident, or nearby, I don't know yet— she's playing her cards close to her vest until she knows we can actually pull something off. Not that I blame her, either." With that, George rises to his feet again, preparing to head back home for the night. "If I call you and start describing my cousin who's come in for a visit, that'll be them, okay?"

Robin nods quickly to that and says, "You got it. Until then, I'll poke around, see what's easiest to arrange." He grins and says, "This shouldn't be a problem at all."
